Onoja: Degree, Million Naira Food-Retail Business Against all Odds

Emmanuel Onoja, graduate of PanAtlantic University, Lagos Can people graduate as millionaires in Nigeria? Emmanuel Onoja did. He rose from a five-time failure in the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination to earn a degree in Business Administration and the Albert Alos Award for Entrepreneurship, for his food-retail business. Emmanuel Onoja, while in school, became the Chief Executive Officer of Onojaz Foods, which makes over N1million in revenue. Onoja had waited long, dauntless in the face of failure, to finally get a letter of admission in 2015 to the prestigious Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos (PAU). Though he lacked the financial resources to pay his fees, ambition drove Onoja to secure a scholarship worth N6million from the institution; and when in school, he proved to be the genius he is. Okada Ban: Lagosians Protecting Eachother

The ban on commercial motorcycles and tricycles has caused adverse consequences for commuters. For instance, more non-roadworthy commercial buses (danfo) have taken to the streets, endangering desperate commuters. However, some Lagosians are determined to curb the reach of such dangers by banding together. On the 12th of February, a danfo bound for Yaba from Ikeja was found by it's passengers to make a continuous rattling sound both deafening and potentially dangerous (listen below). The commuters expressed their fear that whatever friction was causing that sound, could start a fire. But they were prevented from unboarding the bus, because its driver, did not reply their cries for their money. Having paid a higher fare to board the bus, and with no assurance of getting another bus with an unexaggerated price, the passengers remained. Youth Discuss Humanity at Lagos Conference

On September 13, 2019, the Foundation for African Cultural Heritage (FACH), a coalition of over 13 NGOs based in Lagos, gathered youth from all over Nigeria to celebrate and support humanity which are the core values of the family and society.  Hundreds of young people converged at the University of Lagos, Akoka, to listen, interact with, debate and be challenged by speakers of diverse nationalities and professions, on issues which border on the dignity of the human person, and as such affect the family and the society.
